Pay Dues
Pay Your Quarterly Dues
You may pay for either your quarterly stamps, working dues assessments or any other financial obligation to Local 209 through one of three methods: cash, check or PayPal.
- CASH – If paying with cash, payment must be made in person at the Local 209 office. You may not pay for anyone other than yourself (no dropping off monies for another member). You must sign a receipt at the time of payment.
- CHECK – Checks should be made out to “IATSE Local 209”.
- PAYPAL – Please see below for PayPal instructions.
At this time, the only online payments we take are through PayPal. Please be advised that as of July 2022, there is no longer a “Friends & Family” option when sending Local 209 a payment.
To make a payment on PayPal:
- Go to www.paypal.com (or click the button above) and log in to your PayPal account.
- Click “SEND”
- Fill in the “Send money” field with: secretarytreasurer@iatse209.com and click “NEXT”
- Enter the amount you are paying in US Dollars
- Below this you can fill out what the payment is for.
- Click Continue
- Verify your information and click “Send Payment Now”
Contracts
Safety Pass
IATSE TRAINING TRUST FUND SAFETY PASS COURSES
The current Area Standards Agreement requires members to complete the “Safety Pass Courses”.* These courses are meant to provide members with the basic knowledge of workplace health and safety. The courses are available online and free to members!
TO ENROLL: fill out an apploication and return it to the Training Trust Fund. Please allow up to two weeks for processing. Once your application is processed, you will receive and email from Contract Services Safety Pass with a registration PIN. Once you have this, you can create your Safety Pass portal account. After you create your account, you will be able to take the online safety courses.
There are 4 available courses, three of which must be completed:
A: GENERAL SAFETY | INJURY AND ILLNESS PREVENTION PROGRAM (IIPP)
This course explains safety orientation, employee/employer rights and responsibilities, hazard communications, use of personal protection equipment, proper lifting techniques, emergency action procedures, and general production safety procedures. (1 hour)
A2: ENVIRONMENTAL SAFETY
This course covers a wide range of subjects, including studio lot and location safety, heat illness, severe weather, disaster/emergency response, environmental awareness, transportation of dangerous goods, electrical safety, and workplace cleanliness. (3 hours)
HP1: HARASSMENT PREVENTION
This course will assist individuals to identify behaviors that create or contribute to unlawful harassment, discrimination, and retaliation. It also offers information on how to respond to incidents of harassment in the workplace. (1 hour)

HP2: HARASSMENT PREVENTION
This course will assist individuals to identify behaviors that create or contribute to unlawful harassment, discrimination, and retaliation. It also offers information on how to assist in preventing and responding to incidents of harassment in the workplace. (2 hours) | *For department heads, keys, and those with supervisory responsibilities.
Please note that you do not have to complete the courses all at once. They will pick up where you left off.
Dues Check Off Form
Please make sure that you fill this form out and turn it in with your start paperwork. This should be included in your start packet. If not, please print it out and submit it to accounting. Failure to have your work dues withheld from your paycheck on a weekly basis will result in an invoice for the total amount upon completion of the audit for each show.
Check your pay stubs to make sure your dues are withheld!
National Benefits Fund
The IATSE National Benefit Funds are trust funds established by the IATSE through collective bargaining with various entertainment industry employers.
Contributions are made by employers into the National Benefits Fund.
For members of Local 209, the National Benefits Fund includes: Health and Welfare as well as an Annuity. Our Pensions are through Local 27.

IATSE Scholarships
The Trustees of the Richard F. Walsh/Alfred W. Di Tolla/Harold P. Spivak Foundation are pleased to offer five scholarship awards each year in the amount of $2,500 totaling $10,000 over a four year period. Counting the year 2019 awards, the Foundation will have had as many as 75 scholarship recipients.
To be eligible Richard F. Walsh/Alfred W. Di Tolla/ Harold P. Spivak Foundation scholarship, the applicant must:
- Be the son/daughter of a member in good standing of the IATSE
- Be a high school senior at the time of application
- Have applied, or be about to apply for admission to an accredited college or university as a fully matriculated student, which will lead to a bachelor's degree.
Please note this is a National Scholarship open to all members of the IATSE, not just members of Local 209.
